Lunch Report: Spaghetti leftovers from last night. On the radio this morning there was a little segment with some kid trying to spell “spaghetti” and she couldn’t do it. It’s fate. Spaghetti fate.

Mikeluncha I just finished my lunch. The cheese melted into the green chilie when I reheated it and I think I liked it even more than the first time.

Lunch Report: I got a small roast beef sandwich today. The place I went was the most crowded I’ve ever seen it, so I had to wait for my sandwich for 10 minutes or so. It was no big deal. A lot of the drones who work for the large unnamed recruiting company here in town were standing around waiting too. They looked irritated they weren’t getting their lunch fast enough so they kept checking the gadgets they had clipped to brown belts holding up their brown buisness casual pants. Most of them had at least one thing clipped to their body and were wearing shirts with company logos tucked in. I’m so glad I don’t have to do that. Also, my sandwich is delicious but I wish I had remembered to bring my green chillie leftovers.

Lunch Report: Small turkey sandwich with everything. While I was waiting for my sammich I was reading the Boston Globe story about a mob informant and a crooked FBi agent. It’s this story http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2008/09/flemmi_connolly.html — I was rooting for the bad guys

Front Dave Rendering September 17, 2008

Filed under: strange,What did Mike have for Lunch Today?,When I Dream — goodoldraisinsandpennies @ 4:40 pm

The infamous “Mike” from “What did Mike have for lunch today?” has submitted a fascinating, if not almost entirely accurate rendering of Front Dave! Technically, we should be seeing Front Dave’s Legs sticking out, as you’ll note from the original description of him being planted “butt-first” into the hill…but I’m letting that slide because this rendering is Terrifica!

Lunch Report: Turkey Sandwich with everything. While I was waiting for my sandwich from the deli I started reading the Boston Herald. There was a "clever" headline. See photo. I hate it when reporters try and get funny or clever with headlines. Puns in the newspaper are the worst. For example:
"Legless man kicks the habit"
"Sugar Tycoon: How Sweet It Is!"
Auto Industry Driving for More Sales
Hippies Smell Something Fishy
Obesity Epidemic Weighs Heavily on Health Care System

MikelunchLunch Report: During lunch I ran some errands, including getting some new cheap sunglasses. Just like the ZZ Top song. Then I got a sandwich called the "Swiss Miss." Despite the delightful name, it didn’t contain any powdered hot chocolate; instead it was a ham and cheese sandwich with tomatoes, onions and mustard.

Lunch Report: Turkey Burger with spicy french fries. The burger was good, but there were beans in it. Not ground up beans, like whole beans in the burger. Kinda weird. Also, next door to where I got the burger they were selling enchiladas and they hung a bunch of sombreros all over the place.

Wednesday, August 27, 2008 — Softly Singing Sub Hero

I had a turkey sub (a.k.a. grinder, hogie, hero) with everything. I got it at the new deli, which also happens to be the best deli in town. The redheaded, bearded guy working the register was softly singing along to George Thurougood and the Destroyer’s “Bad to the Bone” which was playing on the radio. I don’t think that song necessarily fits him.
